Wage: $12.65/hour

Hours: 30 hours/week

  • Monday: 11:30am - 7:30pm

  • Tuesday: 9am - 5pm

  • Wednesday: 11:30am - 7:30pm

  • Thursday: 9am - 5pm

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Work coordinating Mat Collective’s yoga program, ensuring it runs as smoothly as possible.

  • Work with Mat Collective’s yoga teachers and the participants attending the classes to ensure classes run smoothly in every aspect, including responding to patrons inquiries (in person and online), renting yoga mats, and other tasks that contribute to the program.

  • Be responsible for organizing an end of season wrap up event, as well as other Mat Collective events.

  • Use social media (Facebook, Instagram, live stories, local news, etc.) to promote Mat Collective, as well as fitness, health, wellness in general.

  • Ensure that the yoga program is inclusive and accessible, and is enhancing the lives and well-being of participants, by addressing any concerns that arise and recommending changes to their supervisor.

  • Support the planning, scheduling and data tracking of the yoga season.

  • Assist with yoga mat recycling as necessary.

Our ideal candidate is/can:

  • Studying communication or business in school

  • Communicate in a friendly, helpful, and efficient manner to the public and all Mat Collective staff

  • A self starter, a quick learner, detail oriented

  • Able to work independently, meet deadlines

  • Familiar with the G-Suite (Google Docs, Google Photos, etc..)

  • Familiar with Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, other social media platforms

  • Experienced in planning events, big or small

  • Able to work with a small team in a fast paced, always changing environment

  • Take nice photos and use photoshop

  • Edit videos

  • Familiar with Square Card Readers

  • Familiar with Wix

  • Good at writing
